I skim through the spam listing just in case something got flagged as spam, but that seldom happens. So I only have to go through the list that is considered acceptable comments and approve the quality comments and delete the others. With posting replys to the comments I can generally be done in less then 10 minutes depending on the number of comments waiting for my approval. Every once in awhile, a comment will either get marked as spam or vise versa, but otherwise it catches a huge amount. I was tempted to quit doing the dofollow before I tried akismet.
